Crisp at Dot gives you daily, SKU-level visibility into your shipment performance, supply chain health, category penetration, and distribution retention across the Dot Foods network. The platform is built on Microsoft Power BI and pulls data automatically from Dot’s systems each day. You’ll receive up to two years of historical data when you onboard.

What you can do

Crisp at Dot organizes your data into four dashboard groups, each built to answer a different set of business questions:
  • Performance Insights — See how your products are shipping through Dot, where shipments are occurring, and how sales are trending week over week.
  • Inventory Flow Analysis — Monitor on-hand inventory, weeks of supply, at-risk SKUs, open orders, and inbound fill rates by distribution center.
  • Distribution Analysis — Compare your products against your Dot category and identify expansion opportunities at the customer and store level.
  • Retention Analysis — Track the health of every SKU-customer combination (point of distribution) to spot at-risk, lost, and recovered PODs before they affect revenue.

Key features

Filters

Every dashboard includes a flexible filter bar at the top. You can add any data element as a filter — category, product, product line, customer province (state), ship-to city, customer, and more. Filters apply instantly across all visualizations on the page.

Time periods

Each dashboard has a configurable time period that controls the time window for all displayed data. Options include preset ranges (Last Week through Last 52 Weeks), Current Year, Last Year, and Custom Date Range.

Bookmarks

Save a filtered view as a bookmark so you can return to it in one click. Bookmarks are useful for monitoring specific accounts, regions, or product lines on an ongoing basis.

Filter groups

Create reusable filter groups to standardize views by region, product line, promotion, or any other criteria.

Data export

Export any table or view from the platform for use in external tools, internal reporting, or sharing with stakeholders.

Data details

Dot Foods distributes to both foodservice and retail customers. Crisp at Dot captures data at the distribution center level — you’ll see customer names like Wegmans or Piggly Wiggly, but these represent the DC or wholesale account receiving the shipment, not individual store locations. Dollar amounts reflect wholesale cost from Dot to the receiving customer — not retail pricing. “Sales” in the platform refer to shipments from Dot to receiving customers. Data refreshes daily through an automated pull from Dot’s systems.
