# ChexSync™ YoY Velocity dashboard

> Compare your products' rate of sale through Chex to the same period last year.

The YoY Velocity dashboard shows how your products' rate of sale compares to the same period last year, so you can gauge whether products are gaining or losing momentum on shelf. Like the Velocity dashboard, this report is affected by whether you include or exclude zero-sales weeks — see [Zero-sales weeks](#zero-sales-weeks) below.

## Velocity overview

### Units per store per week over time

This chart shows your year-over-year velocity for each week in the selected time period, based on the number of stores you sold in that week. It always excludes zero-sales weeks, regardless of the **Zero Sales Weeks** filter setting.

### Year-over-year units per store per week by product

This sortable table compares each product's velocity to the same period last year, calculated using the total number of stores sold in over the entire selected time frame.

### Overview tiles

These tiles show your total units per store per week and sales dollars per store per week, along with the year-over-year percent change, for the selected filters.

## Velocity drivers

### Year-over-year units per store per week by state

This heat map shows percent change in velocity by state year over year — darker green for more growth, darker orange for less. Hover over a state for detail.

### Velocity by city, velocity by chain

These sortable tables slice year-over-year velocity by city and chain.

## Velocity details

This table offers store-level detail specific to your business, most useful after filtering to a low- or high-performing state or chain.

## Velocity calculation method

Use the **Velocity Calculation Method** filter at the top of the dashboard to choose how zero-sales weeks factor into the calculation — see [Zero-sales weeks](#zero-sales-weeks) for details on when to use each option.

## Zero-sales weeks

* **Excluding zero-sales weeks:** Velocity is based on the average number of weeks with sales per store within your date filter.
* **Including zero-sales weeks:** Velocity is based on the total number of weeks in your date filter.
